Building my first beercan solar heater
Posted by: admin in Mr.Sorkollektor's beercollector
First step after collecting some beer cans was the cut out of both ends of cans. It takes me about 3hr with this equipmnet.
Special cutter for driller: (one of my turner friend made it to me)

Plastic “thing” to protect my hands while drilling

Second step: to make propellers (now I know thats not necessary) to revolve the air more afficiently in the beer-can-tubes

Nice work,
The plastic “thing” is an ingenius tool and very professional looking.
Making the propellors is no fun at all, so its a very good thing they aren`t needed

In my second collector I didnt use propellers
Maybe its a good news for You and other english speaking friends, we try to upgrade this english version site and do some effort to give more usefull post to us

I think its great that you have provided an english speaking forum.
It seems i`m the only one here so far which is good news for me
Having the wealth of practical experience on the hungarian forum may save us from taking too many wrong turns
I drilled another 70 beer cans today bringing the total to 470 so far.
Beer cans are great, they are a lot bigger than soda cans (especially 500ml size) so you dont need quite as many and beer tastes much better

I’m here also. This is a fantastic web-site. I too am building my very first can collector. I have built others before and they all work well. But I hope to build a very good version of the beer can collector only I’m using soda cans. I can’t seem to figure out how to post a photo.
